Pakistani authorities have seized a huge quantity of narcotics from across the country and jailed four suspects, it was reported on Monday.
The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) carried out six operations and seized 1.53 tonnes of heroin, 13.4 tonnes of charas, 28 kg of morphine, 157 kg of opium and 480 grams of amphetamine, the Daily Times said.
Four people involved in drug trafficking were jailed and a vehicle used to transport the drugs was seized.
Most of the seized drugs were meant to be sent abroad. The seizures took place in Quetta, Rawalpindi, Sialkot and Multan, the report said.
