Singer Himesh Reshammiya says cinema veterans Naseeruddin Shah and Shekhar Kapur, who star alongside him in "Teraa Surroor", shed their superstar image once they face the camera.
"They forget they are superstars. They just get into their characters. They have inspired me to do the same," Himesh told media persns here on Saturday.
Directed by Shawn Arranha, the thriller "Teraa Surroor" also features debutant Farah Karimaee, actor Kabir Bedi and singer-actor Monica Dogra in prominent roles.
It's the sequel to the 2007 film "Aap Kaa Surroor".
Himesh, who has churned out popular songs like "Aashiq banaya aapne" and "Tera suroor", has been criticised for being a nasal singer.
However, he said that the criticism turned out to be a "blessing in disguise".
"Earlier I used to feel bad. The media dubbed me as a nasal singer. But it turned out to be a blessing in disguise," he added.
