N. Abdul Asan Faizal, son of popular Tamil actor Nasser, who got injured Thursday morning when his car collided with an oncoming lorry, has undergone a surgery.
The 23-year-old was with four other friends in the car when their vehicle collided with an oncoming lorry.
Three of his friends accompanying him were killed on the spot, while the fourth one, who was also critically injured, has been hospitalised at Chettinad Hospital with Abdul.
Tamil actress Varalaxmi Sarath Kumar is with Nasser's family at the hospital.
"(I'm) with Nasser sir at the hospital. His son is out of operation theatre. (The) worst is over. We need your prayers for his speedy recovery," posted Varalaxmi on her Twitter page.
The police have registered a case and are investigating.
