Actress Neetu Chandra's next production "The Suspect", a short film in Maithili, is set to release on May 5.
Neetu tweeted on Friday: "Our next production! By Nitin (brother), Neera Chandra (mother). Proud to present 'The Suspect' - Champaran Talkies's first short film! May 5."
The moving poster of "The Suspect" was unveiled on Thursday.
"The Suspect" tells the story of Abdul Rahim Ansari, resident of Mirzapur. It shows how an innocent young Muslim man gets framed and is declared a terrorist within 24 hours of his arrival in Mumbai.
Champaran Talkies is a Mumbai and Patna based film production house. Since its inception in 2008, Champaran Talkies has made several documentaries and feature films with actors like Ashish Vidyarthi and Pankaj Jha. The banner's 2015 film "Mithila Makhaan" was honoured with a National Film Award.
