Neroca FC have become the fourth football team this season to pick up bid documents for direct entry into the upcoming I-League, starting from January 7.
The Imphal based side, who had the highest spectator count last time in the second division, have now joined the race with FC Bardez Goa, Minerva Academy FC and Chennai City to be part of the country's top-tier club competition.
The All India Football Federation (AIFF) bid evaluation committee will again meet in the second week of December after the last date of submission of bids ends on December 8.
The committee met last month but failed to pick the sides for the competition as none could meet the stringent club licensing criteria.
All the parties have requested the parent body to water down the financial requirements keeping in mind the uncertainties over the league with talks of a merger going on.
