A new video game based on the 2009 sci-fi epic film "Avatar" is being developed by Ubisoft in collaboration with Fox Interactive and James Camerons studio Lightstorm Entertainment.
The game is slated to release for PC and consoles, reports aceshowbiz.com.
Back in 2009 shortly after the movie was released, Ubisoft released "Avatar: The Game", which was set two years before the events of the film.
The plot for the new game is still unclear, but it "will continue to expand and deepen in the 'Avatar' universe in exciting and innovative ways along with the films", an official said.
Sequels to "Avatar", starring Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana, have been in works since 2009.
Last year, Cameron revealed his plan to do four more movies for December 2018, 2020, 2022 and 2023 releases. Still, the first sequel hasn't yet gone into production.
