Beirut, May 3 (IANS/AKI) The so-called "Islamic State" group on has posted a video showing the beheading in Syria of a young man accused of spying, news website Aranews reported.

The victim and three other young men and boys accused of spying for the "Crusader Coalition" were beheaded at the IS stronghold Al-Raqqa, handcuffed and dressed in hallmark orange jumpsuits.

Subtitles to the video in Arabic claim the four youths had "caused the death of hundreds of Muslims" by filming the IS headquarters in Raqqa and handing details of the location to "enemies of the Caliphate".

The beheadings appeared to have carried out in an area exposed to airstrikes, Aranews said.

The Britain-based group The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported the executions on Sunday and said it had received copies of the images.

The monitor relies for its information on a network of activists in Syria.
