The new integrated licensing policy (NILP) of the Haryana government can generate direct and indirect revenue around Rs.1 lakh crore for the state exchequer in the next two years, state Commerce and Industry Minister Abhimanyu said on Monday.

"The new integrated licensing policy that we have announced this year... has the potential of generating minimum Rs.50,000 crore to Rs.1 lakh crore of direct and indirect revenue and earnings for the government in just a couple of years," Abhimanyu said after inaugurating a conference on "Ease of Doing Business in Gurgaon".

"The new integrated licensing policy in the real estate sector is revolutionary. It will unleash the next level of reforms in the real estate regulatory framework in Haryana. With this, licensing is going to be very easy and smooth," the minister said at the event organised by Assocham jointly with Gurgaon Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

He said Gurgaon can be developed as "lifestyle destination" of India, and there was a need to promote the healthcare, education and entertainment sectors.

He also said that Gurgaon can be developed as a hub for medical tourism.

On ease of doing business in the state, the minister said the government was looking into giving online approvals, clearances and sanctions.

"We want to create an environment where we don't have to deal with anything offline at all... so that everything works smoothly," he said.

"We believe that every inch of space has the opportunity for entrepreneurship and every individual in his own capacity has tremendous potential to be an entrepreneur. We have to make Haryana the land of entrepreneurs," he added.
