The National Investigation Agency (NIA) filed the chargesheet against six suspected Islamic State (IS) terror operatives, court sources said on Monday.
During in-camera proceedings, the NIA filed the chargesheet before District Judge Amar Nath, who fixed further hearing in the matter for August 25.
NIA chargesheeted Mohd. Azeemushan, Mohd. Osama, Akhlakur Rehman, Meraj alias Monu, Mohsin Ibrahim Sayyed and wanted accused Yusuf-Al-Hindi alias Safi Armar, accusing them of conspiring to target the Ardh Kumbh Mela at Haridwar besides some strategic locations in Delhi.
Armar, who is on run, was working for IS in Syria, NIA said.
The six accused are booked under charges of criminal conspiracy and various provisions of AUnlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
However, one of the arrested accused Mudabbir Mustaq Seikh was not chargesheeted.
The accused were arrested by the Special Cell of Delhi Police in January and February, but later the case was transferred to the NIA.
According to the probe agency, they were motivating people to join the IS.
