At least nine people were killed and over 20 others injured in three different explosions Sunday in the Syrian city of Homs, officials said.

One booby-trapped car blew up in the pro-government district of Zahra, killing at least eight people and injuring 20 others, Xinhua reported citing an official source from the Homs governorate.

Meanwhile, another car blew up under a bridge near the Homs oil refinery, leaving one person dead, the source said.

The third explosion took place at the al-Fakhura roundabout, causing a yet undetermined number of injuries in addition to material damage.

No terrorist group has yet claimed responsibility for the attacks.
