A sessions court here on Wednesday refused to hear immediately former minister Sukhbir Kataria's revision petition for clubbing together all cases pending against him in over a dozen courts and assigning them to a single court.

The court fixed April 19 for hearing in the matter.

A former Sports and Youth Affairs Minister, Kataria is facing 60-odd cases on the charge of preparing bogus votes in Gurugram, which are pending before 14 courts in Gurugram district.

Deciding on Kataria's plea, Chief Judicial Magistrate Gagandeep Mittal refused to club the pending cases and ordered for trials in the concerned courts only.

On Wednesday, he moved the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge R.P. Goyal, who refused to take up his revision petition immediately and put it off for April 19.

Kataria is accused of preparing bogus votes in Gurugram assembly segment with the help of various officials. Kataria won the 2009 election as an independent.

O.P. Kataria, who is a complainant in the case, claimed that over 30,000 bogus votes were prepared.

Sukhbir Kataria was a minister in the Congress government led by Bhupinder Singh Hooda from 2009 to 2014.
