Afghanistan Saturday rebuffed Pakistan's claim that 23 of its security personnel were killed by Pakistani Taliban militants on Afghan soil.
"In the wake of the claim made by Pakistani officials that 23 security personnel of Pakistan were killed by militants inside Afghanistan, the ministry of interior conducted comprehensive investigation but could not find any evidence to prove the claim and no Pakistani security personnel has been killed on Afghan soil," Xinhua quoted an interior ministry statement as saying.
Islamabad has lodged a strong protest with Afghan government over the killing of its 23 security personnel by Pakistani Taliban militants on the Afghan side of the border recently.
Pakistani Taliban had abducted 23 personnel of the Frontier Corps in 2010 and murdered them a few days ago to avenge the alleged killing of their comrades in Pakistani jails.
