A US-based NRI woman, who was arrested Thursday for torturing her maid, has been booked also for torturing a juvenile servant who had been employed to attend to the accused woman's mother in hospital, police said Friday.
The victim, aged 16, was recovered Friday from a hospital where the accused woman's mother was under treatment.
The minor boy had been employed as an attendant in the hospital for a month.
According to police, the victim's mother approached police and told them that Aarti Jain had been beating her son over petty matters.
"A new case under the Juvenile Justice Act has been registered at the Pandav Nagar police station against Aarti Jain," an officer said.
Aarti Jain, 45, was arrested Thursday from her Mayur Vihar Phase-I residence in east Delhi for torturing her 30-year-old maid Bhagwati Oraon. She had come to Delhi for the treatment of her mother.
Oraon, employed through a placement agency, had been working at Jain's house for over four months.
The victim told police that she was burnt by her employer with a hot iron whenever she asked for her salary. She would also get stale food, and was beaten for making mistakes.
The victim bore dog bite marks on her body.
