One killed in Kabul blast

At least one person was killed and 13 were injured in a bomb explosion in Kabul city on Monday, police said.

A suicide bomber blew up a car packed with explosives in Hawa Shinasi area, close to Kabul airport, Xinhua cited interior ministry spokesman Sediq Sediqqi as saying.

The injured were taken to hospital, the police said.

The Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack and said via twitter that their target was a foreign troops convoy.
