Oscar de la Renta trunk show in Mumbai soon

Gowns and cocktail dresses from the house of Oscar de la Renta will be showcased at the Le Mill fashion concept store through a three-day special trunk show here.

Le Mill, the brainchild of Julie Leymarie and Cecilia Morelli Parikh, is known to showcase works of some of the best names in fashion such as Alexander McQueen, Stella McCartney, Balmain and Valentino.

The trunk show will start from October 19 at the store in Colaba here, and those interested can make appointments to visit the store and customise and style Oscar de la Renta garments, read a statement.

All the services for the show will be facilitated by the team of stylists at Le Mill and representatives from Oscar de la Renta.

Rosanna Miniaci, Vice-President of RTW and Bridal sales at Oscar de la Renta, will be representing the brand in India.

One of the pioneers of luxury evening wear, the house of Oscar de la Renta has been producing red carpet worthy dresses since 1965. The brand is known for its repertoire decadent brocades, embellished cocktail dresses and evening gowns.

Talking about the association, Cecilia Morelli Parikh said: "Oscar de la Renta is synonymous with luxury, grace and epitomises feminine dressing. The label not only creates unforgettable eveningwear but has been behind strong ready-to-wear lines for years now, something not many people are aware of."

"We wanted to bring the brand down to India to give people living here the access to something truly special."

Some of the celebrities who have worn creations from house of Oscar de la Renta are Emma Watson, Taylor Swift, Tina Fey, Anne Hathaway and Zooey Deschanel.
