NBA All-Star forward Paul George had surgery on his right leg one day after he was severely injured during a US national team's intra-squad scrimmage.
The surgery was to repair the open tibia-fibula fracture. Doctors David Silverberg, Joseph Yu and US Basketball team physician Riley Williams were present for the surgery, said a release from NBA Saturday, reports Xinhua.
Goerge was considered as an important part of the US national basketball team for the upcoming FIBA World Cup.
