Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Youth President Waheed Parra survived an assassination attempt in Jammu and Kashmir's Badgam district, party sources said on Tuesday.
Parra was returning from a condolence meeting on Monday evening when gunmen on a motorcycle fired at his bullet-proof vehicle in Chadoora area.
"The bullets hit the vehicle but he survived the attack," a police officer said on the condition of anonymity. Police said they were investigating the incident.
