People need to change their perception towards police: Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Sunday said there is a need for the people in the country to change their perception about police and that would be possible only after becoming aware of ground realities.

"The thinking of the people about our police force can change and this can be done through knowing ground realities," Modi said while addressing the 49th All India DGPs and IGPs conference here.

He said there was a need to project good works done by police.
