Prime Minister Manmohan Singh would be attending his 10th annual India-Russia summit, an important event in India's diplomatic calendar, when he travels to Moscow this weekend.

He would be attending the 14th India-Russia Annual Summit in Moscow on Oct 21 with President Vladimir Putin.

For the prime minister, this would also be his fifth summit meeting in Moscow, said Foreign Secretary Sujatha Singh here Friday.

Both sides are expected to sign several agreements, including in science and technology, and energy efficiency, she said.

India and Russia have witnessed 24 percent rise in bilateral trade over last year to cross $11 billion.

India would also be seeking to tap Russia's vast reserves of hydrocarbons for its energy requirements, she said.

Talks between Manmohan Singh and Putin would dwell on bilateral issues and the region, especially Afghanistan where international forces are to drawdown next year.
