The government has nominated Pranav Pandya to the Rajya Sabha to fill a vacancy caused by the retirement of a nominated member, the home ministry said on Wednesday.
Pandya, head of the All World Gayatri Pariwar and editor of Akhand Jyoti magazine, has been a proponent of Indian culture across the world.
A medical practitioner with MBBS and MD qualifications, Pandya is known as an advocate of 'scientific spirituality'.
