President pays tribute to Netaji on birth anniversary
President Pranab Mukherjee Thursday paid homage to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose on his birth anniversary.
Mukherjee paid floral tributes in front of a portrait of Netaji at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
The firebrand nationalist leader was born in Cuttack district, in what is now Odisha, in 1897, and is believed to have died in a plane crash in Taiwan on Aug 18, 1945.
