Amid speculations of Priyadarshini Raje Scindia contesting from the seat of Congress leader and her husband Jyotiraditya Scindia in the coming Lok Sabha elections, she is all set to undertake a nine-day tour of the Guna parliamentary constituency from Monday.
"After visiting Gwalior, Raje will reach Shivpuri on Monday afternoon and participate in several women's meetings. She will be in Guna till Feburary 26," said state Congress General Secretary Harveer Raghuvanshi.
Ever since Congress President Rahul Gandhi recently appointed Jyotiraditya -- the incumbent MP from Guna constituency -- as the General Secretary in-charge for western Uttar Pradesh, there have been talks that his wife Priyadarshini could contest the election from her husband's constituency.
Earlier, Congress workers had also demanded to field Priyadarshini from Guna by passing an internal resolution.
Guna has been considered as the citadel of Congress from where Vijaya Raje Scindia, her son Madhavrao Scindia and Jyotiraditya Scindia have won many elections in the past.
