Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, daughter of Congress president Sonia Gandhi, will Thursday visit her mother's constituency Rae Bareli Thursday for two days, party leaders said Wednesday.
She will meet Congress leaders in the constituency.
In some parts of Uttar Pradesh, there have been demands by party activists to replace Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi with his sister Priyanka Vadra.
On Friday, Priyanka Vadra is scheduled to meet residents and listen to their problems. She will leave for New Delhi the same day, a party leader told IANS.
This will be Priyanka Vadra's first visit to her mother's constituency after the 2014 general election. The Congress won only two of the 80 seats in Uttar Pradesh - Rae Bareli and Amethi.
