Paris Saint-Germain claimed a crucial 2-0 win over French football league leaders Marseille in the so called 'Le Classique' of Ligue 1 here, to maintain the hosts' unbeaten run in the season.
With the sixth straight victory Sunday night, PSG closed in on Marseille by reducing the latter's lead at the top of Ligue 1 to just one point, reports Xinhua.
Marseille were down to 10 men when Giannelli Imbula was sent off with just over 10 minutes remaining for a tackle on Yohan Cabaye.
Lucas Moura opened the scoring for PSG in the 38th minute, getting ahead of Marseille defender Benjamin Mendy to slot home.
Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani added the second in the 85th minute, a header six metres out after Serge Aurier's pin-point cross.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who made his return from injury, started on the bench.
