Purification drive of electoral rolls from March 1
The Election Commission will start "authentication and purification drive" of the electoral rolls from March 1, it was announced Sunday.
Chief Election Commissioner H.S. Brahma made the announcement while inaugurating a workshop on linking of Aadhaar with electoral roll database in Hyderabad Saturday, a statement issued here said.
He asked all officers to come up with suitable action plan to expedite the mission so that it could be completed by Aug 15 this year.
