Actress Vidya Balan was set to promote her forthcoming film "Ghanchakkar" in a mall here Sunday, but she had to cancel the plan thanks to the heavy rain in the city.
"Vidya was ready to leave despite heavy downpour, but due to heavy rain, her staff, which was travelling from various corners (of the city) could not reach her house in time," said a source.
"Even members of UTV were stuck due to severe water logging and were unable to reach. So, naturally she could not attend the promotional event scheduled on Sunday at the mall," the source added.
Directed by Rajkumar Gupta, "Ghanchakkar", releasing June 28, also features Emraan Hashmi.
