Home Minister Rajnath Singh, who has been overseeing the security scenario in Kashmir, has postponed his visit to the US.

"The visit will now take place somewhere in September. The minister had to postpone it in view of the Kashmir situation," a Home Ministry official told IANS.

The Home Minister has been holding high-level meetings and overseeing other arrangements to ensure peace in the Valley in the wake of large scale violence over the killing of a militant commander.
