Security arrangements at the office and residence of filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma have been beefed up after he received a threat Thursday.
Varma had got threats earlier also due to the content of his forthcoming crime saga "Satya 2", which the promos showed.
"He is at the additional commissioner's office in Bandra presently. The security arrangements have been tightened at his house as well as office," a spokesperson of Varma, told IANS.
Varma took to microblogging site Twitter to explain his position.
"On basis of an intercepted conversation, Mumbai police gave me security..for various reasons, I can't divulge the contents of the threat," Varma posted on Twitter Thursday.
However, Varma did not confirm whether the threat had anything to do with the film.
"For some important reasons, I cannot comment on whether or not this threat to me is related to the content of 'Satya 2'," he said.
"Satya 2" release date has been shifted from Oct 25 to Nov 8.
