'Rock On 2' cast jammed on slopes of Meghalaya

The cast of the forthcoming film "Rock on!! 2" held jamming sessions in the valley of Meghalaya while they were preparing for the movie.

"Rock On!! 2" is a sequel to the 2008 film "Rock On!!". It is shot in Shillong and also includes a folk song in Khasi.

Directed by Shujaat Saudagar and produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, the film will see actors Arjun Rampal, Prachi Desai, Purab Kohli reprising their roles from the first movie.

"In Meghalaya, we stayed in Ri Kynjai which is a little out of Shillong. Set on the slopes of the valley leading down to the lake, it was a wonderful view to wake up to. We spent a lot of time in the hotel and it was very hard to leave as it was so beautiful," Purab said in a statement.

"We jammed most evenings and in my room as the drum kit, which is hard to move around, was installed there. The valley would fill up with our music of 'Rock On!! 2', and every rehearsal evening inevitably ended up in a party. I miss that time we spent shooting 'Rock On!! 2', he added.

The film is slated to release on November 11.
