J.K. Simmons, tagged as a character actor playing smaller roles in a variety of movies, says after the success of 'Whiplash" he has started getting bigger ones in movies.
Simmons played the role of Fletcher, a tough music teacher in "Whiplash" and things changed after acting in the award winning film.
"Roles with bigger parts are coming my way. Just in general something more significant. I obviously don't wish to play Fletcher again, I want to broaden the experience," Simmons said in a statement.
"It's great to see so many interesting and risky films being made now. With the awards season having so many such films, it assures that there will be place for such movies in the near future," he added.
