"Room", which is in the race for an Academy Award for Best Picture, is being brought to Indian screens on January 29 by PVR Pictures.
Based on the best-selling eponymous novel by Emma Donoghue, "Room", directed by directed by Lenny Abrahamson, has been lauded by critics and has even won laurels at award events.
The gripping film, which tells the story of a mother-son duo who have been imprisoned in a small room for seven years with all they need to survive, is up for several Academy Awards including nominations in Best Picture, Best Actress, Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay.
Actress Brie Larson plays the mother and has been appreciated for her breakthrough performance.
