Brazilian football giants Santos have appointed Enderson Moreira as their new coach following the sacking of Oswaldo de Oliveira.
Moreira, 42, has previously coached Brazilian Serie A clubs Gremio, Goias and Fluminense, reports Xinhua.
Oliveira was dismissed following the team's 1-0 loss to Botafogo on Sunday, a result that left the team 11th in the standings.
"We are grateful to [Oliveira] for his dedication, seriousness and professionalism during his eight months in charge of the team and we wish him success in the future," Santos president Odilio Rodrigues said on the club's official website Tuesday.
Santos' next Serie A assignment is Saturday's home clash against Vitoria.
