Cinematographer-filmmaker Santosh Shivan's Tamil drama "Inam", about a group of teenagers during the Sri Lankan civil war, will hit the screens March 28.

The official release date was announced Wednesday, a statement from production house Thiruppathi Brothers said.

The makers believe that "Inam" will "make cinema lovers turn back".

Starring Karan, Sugandha Ram, Saritha, Karunas, Shyam Sundar and Soumya Sadanand, "Inam" has already been premiered at last year's Busan International Film Festival and received critical acclaim.

The film will later be released in English as "Ceylon".
