Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez said on Saturday that his squad always hopes to improve their performance in football seasons compared to previous ones "without defining certain goals".
Saul told La Liga website that the team always thinks about performing a better season without defining a certain goal, as the team focuses on each match, reports Efe.
The Spanish midfielder made the remarks following his team's training session in the Australian city of Melbourne, ahead of Sunday's friendly against Melbourne Victory.
Atletico has a good start for the pre-season camp in Australia after its 1-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur.
Saul added that his team "is in a very good form", indicating that the most important matter was to gain more match experience in order to start the season well.
