Shaikh, Auti put Patil Academy on top in national cricket

Dr. DY Patil Cricket Academy from Mumbai batted themselves into a strong position as centuries by Shoaib Shaikh (140, 238b, 19x4) and Vikrant Auti (110 not out, 233b, 14x4) saw them make 281 for two against Andhra CA on the opening day of their four-day match in the KSCA All-India cricket tournament here on Monday.

Sudip Chatterjee (121, 178b, 11x4) lifted Cricket Association of Bengal to 268 for nine against Tripura CA for whom Abhijit Dey took six for 87.

In another match, KSCA XI restricted Orissa Cricket Association to just 195 in the first innings and ended the day on 66 without loss in reply.
