Director General of Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Lt. Gen. Rizwan Akhtar Monday called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Islamabad and discussed internal security and the fight against terrorism.
The meeting took place ahead of the prime minister's visit to Nepal to attend the SAARC summit Nov 26-27, Dawn online reported.
Sharif is also scheduled to meet other leaders on the sidelines of the summit.
This was the second meeting between the prime minister and the ISI chief after he took office as director general.
Lt. Gen. Akhtar was appointed the new director general of the ISI earlier this month.
