Actor Silambarasan aka Simbu, who is busy juggling between Tamil films "Atcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada" and "Kaan", is expected to team up with filmmaker Ameer Sultan for a yet-untitled rural drama in the language.
"Both Simbu and Ameer are in talks for a rural-based subject. Both of them are interested to team up, but it will take time for the project to get on floors as Simbu is busy with two films and has one more project in his kitty," a source told IANS.
Anirudh Ravichander has been approached to compose tunes for this project.
Meanwhile, Simbu's much-delayed Tamil project "Kettavan" has been shelved. He had penned the story of the film.
"There were plans of reviving it, but not anymore. The project has been shelved," the source confirmed.
Simbu is currently awaiting the release of Tamil actioner "Vaalu" and "Idhu Namma Aalu".
