Simon Cowell pelted with eggs

Music mogul Simon Cowell was pelted with eggs by a failed contestant from last year's talent show "Britain's Got Talent". This happened during the show's live finale Saturday night.

Cowell was seated with his fellow judges Alesha Dixon, David Walliams and Amanda Holden watching a performance when a girl stormed onto the stage with a box of eggs and began throwing them at Cowell, reports dailystar.co.uk.

Security guards guided her off the stage but not before one of the eggs hit Cowell, which left him with egg running down his jacket.

But the judge didn't let the attack ruin the show. He removed the jacket and continued with the show.

It has emerged that the furious girl is Natalie Holt, who was playing violin for opera-singing siblings Richard and Adam Johnson on the stage. She didn't win last year at the same talent show.

Holt later apologised in a statement, which reads: "I want to apologise to Richard and Adam for overshadowing their performance. I've never done anything like this before and in hindsight I have realised it was a silly thing to do."
