Singer Payal Dev, who recorded a song "Swachch Bharat ho hamara" for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, says she is glad to be associated with the campaign and has urged people to create awareness about it.
On the sidelines of the song's recording here, Payal told IANS: "I always wanted to be attached with social awareness campaigns. It makes me happy. I'm even delighted that the makers found my voice good for this cause, I would always be ready to sing for social awareness which can bring positive changes. I am feeling very happy to be associated with country's most ambitious Swachh Bharat Abhiyan."
"I hope people will not only appreciate this song, but it will give inspiration to many Indians to come forward to join this campaign and make our country clean and healthy," added the singer, whose latest song "Haseeno ka deewana" from Hrithik Roshan's forthcoming movie "Kaabil" is topping the charts.
"Swachch Bharat ho hamara" is specially designed for some activities in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. It is composed and penned by Hrishikesh Pandey.
Sharing his concern about the cause, Pandey said: "We need to understand that if every Indian, like us, starts keeping his local surrounding clean, India will be clean automatically. And this is the actual theme of our song. The song will be an add-on to PM Modi's Swachch Bharat Abhiyan campaign."
He is also planning to direct the music video of the song under his home production Hribom that earlier produced a social awareness video like 'School Chale Hum' for child education.
