After being fed up of rumours pertaining to his personal life, British actor Sir David Jason has written an autobiography titled "My Life".
It was released Tursday.
Contactmusic.com reports that the actor said in British TV show "This Morning" that he was forced to write a book due to his long association with the industry.
"The fact of the matter is that I've always tried to keep my private life to myself and to my family. My professional life as an actor, which I really enjoy and love and all that, has always been quite separate," he said.
He further added: "But I was sort of put in a position where because of my longevity in the business, they said to me if I didn't do it somebody else would."
The actor is best known for British TV show "Only Fools and Horses".
