Six members of a family were on Monday held at the Indira Gandhi International Airport here with 16 kg of gold they bought from Dubai concealed in baby diapers and bags, an official said.
Yahabhai and Moaiyadi Tasneem were taken into custody around 7 a.m. when they arrived from Dubai. They were travelling along with two women and two children.
"All the fliers were detained for carrying 16 gold biscuits, each weighing one kg. The gold was concealed in diapers and bags," a Custom official told IANS on the condition of anonymity.
The official said the gold was found when the passengers were intercepted for a thorough check.
