Six-time MP Piyush Tirkey dead

Six-time MP from Alipurduar, West Bengal, Piyush Tirkey, passed away in the national capital Saturday. He was 85.

He was a member of the Revolutionary Socialist Party.

His son Mukti Tirkey told IANS that his father had been ailing for the past four months and needed dialysis. He is survived by two sons and three daughters.
