Curitiba (Brazil), June 16 (IANS/EFE) Spain's substitute goalkeeper David de Gea has sustained a first degree muscular strain which will keep him off the training field for 10 days.
The medical tests showed that de Gea's injury, sustained Saturday, needs 10 days for recovery. As a consequence, the Manchester United goalkeeper will not be able to play the World Cup Group B matches against Chile and Australia, reports EFE.
De Gea's injury does not pose much danger for Spain as captain Iker Casillas and Pepe Reina remain in the side.
