Spanish Civil Guards have arrested a Moroccan citizen on terrorism charges for allegedly involving himself with terror groups in Syria, the interior ministry said Wednesday.
The Moroccan, whose initials have been confirmed as N.B., is said to have offered himself to an armed group for combat in Syria, xinhua reported.
"The man who has been arrested has a long list of jihadi activities on the internet and has used several profiles on social networks, which includes a large quantity of material praising terrorism," the statement said.
Police decided to arrest him Wednesday morning, saying his profile "could suppose a threat to collective security," the statement added.
