Bengaluru-based chartered air carrier Sprit Airlines on Monday said it has commenced flight operations in Kazi Nazrul Islam Airport (KNIA) in West Bengal's Durgapur.
Flying three days a week, the carrier will fly from Kolkata to Durgapur and then proceed towards either Patna or Darbhanga in Bihar. On the other way, the flight will also originate from either Patna or Darbhanga, proceed towards India's first private greenfield airport at Durgapur and finally land at Kolkata.
It is also offering chauffeur services.
The company said upon booking, a customer will be driven from his home to the airport in a sedan class car and will also be driven to his destination in the city he is flying to.
