Sri Lanka will produce its first 3D movie to spread awareness of the drug trade in the island country, authorities said on Monday.
The movie, titled "Shakti", will be directed by Rohan Welivita. It will star popular Sri Lankan actors Lucky Dias, Roger Seneviratne and Buddhika Jayaratne, reports Xinhua news agency.
The film depicts the manner in which the drug trade has seeped into the society despite the efforts of a dedicated policeman to combat it.
Welivita said he will be use the advanced 3D technology with a 3D rig in the film's production. Shooting will commence from October.
