Star network is set to launch a new sports channel named Star Sports First from July 21 to telecast sports content in Hindi.
The channel will air the much-awaited Pro Kabaddi League Season 5. In addition, the channel will also telecast domestic cricket and domestic football tournaments.
Talking about the channel, a Star India spokesperson said: "In the 'Free-to-air' content that they have access to, sports content is mostly absent and only sporadically available."
"We believe tens of millions of fans will be created for many different sports offerings through our content bouquet," he added.
