Samantha Stosur beat Victoria Azarenka 6-2, 6-3 in the Southern California Open final, winning her first WTA tour title in nearly two years.
The title win Sunday was the third overall championship of Stosur's career, reports Xinhua.
"I think this is a huge boost for me," said the winner of 2011 US Open.
"I haven't had great results all year, so to be able to bounce back and come away with this is really exciting and a good boost going into the last slam of the year."
