Atletico Madrid striker Fernando Torres has confirmed that his contract renewal for two years is almost complete with only small details left to resolve.
During a publicity event on Thursday, Torres said the renewal is being finalised and only small details remain that will be resolved when appropriate, emphasising his desire to continue at the capital football club, reports Efe.
Atletico and Torres have been in open negotiations for weeks to renew the striker for two more years, which will be finalized shortly and will prolong his second time with the Rojiblancos, which began in January 2015.
Since then he has played 70 games, including 40 as a starter, and scored 18 goals and made five assists.
