Swine flu claimed its third life in Odisha Sunday when a 42-year-old man died at a private hospital here, said an official.
Public Health Director Kailash Dash said the man, who worked for a company in Balesore, was admitted in serious condition.
Eleven out of the 71 swabs tested this year have tested positive, said Dash.
Advising people not to panic, the health director said the government has taken precautionary measures.
"We have created isolated wards in district hospitals and medical colleges for the swine flu affected patients. Besides, people are being sensitised about the disease," said Dash.
